Competition Results 2025
DF95 competition
After eight days of racing more members have reached the number of races used for scoring of the competition which is 10.
We can now reveal the final rankings based on the best 10 races. The program specified 10 race days but this year we have only completed 8. But that was enough for a late entrant to rise up to the second place.

Victoria/DF65
2025 Club competition featuring Victorias, DF65’s and RG65
The elaboration of the results of this year’s Victoria/DF65 competition has raised several issues which I wish to discuss before announcing the final positions.
Accepting that in a mixed class competition a member can sail whichever eligible boat they wish, we must produce the results by Sailor not Sail Number. In particular this year it means consolidating Paul’s results from sailing his RG65 (23), and his DF65 (440). This produces the following results of the the four days racing with a total of 18 races.

As we can see from the detailed position list, Paul wins the competition on the basis of his extra second places over Barry.

So the result of this years “Victoria” competition is Paul: First, Barry: Second and Graham: Third.
A corollary of this merging of sail numbers within a competition is that any member can sail any eligible boat in a competition and have the result counted. In particular a member whose boat has technical problems may substitute another members boat in a race, or enter the Cub spare , however it is essential that this substitution is clearly marked on the result sheet.
