Who we are

This is the website of the Rugeley Model Boat Club.(RMBC)

We are a  membership club whose objective is to facilitate the sailing of scale model boats and the racing of radio controlled yachts using the lake and facilities of Manor Park Sailing Club.(MPSC)

RMBC members have to be members of (MPSC) who are responsible for the data they collect and manage.

Personal Data

RMBC collects and holds the minimum of personal data

Name, address and contact details of member : in case of emergency and for contact purposes.

Name and contact details of Next of Kin : again for emergencies.

Membership details - data joined subscription paid : for club management and insurance cover.

Boats sailed : for the organizing of competitions, club publicity and for the interest of members.

Sharing of data

The club does not share or exchange data with any outside organisation.

Media

All images or videos shown on the site are the property of the originator and displayed with their permission.  Display of images is subject to the editorial decision of the Web Site Manager.

Comments

The site does not accept comments.

Cookies

A cookie is placed on the users device when visiting the site to confirm acceptance of the GDPR policy. this is renewed after 12 months.

Link to other sites

Third party sites my be linked to, to provide interest or information for members. The link will always be explicit and members are responsible for interaction with sites visited.

What rights you have over your data

You can request to receive a copy of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. The data we keep is necessary for your membership and thus will be rained as a condition of being a member. Personal date can be removed on request on ceasing to be a member  although it will normally be kept for a  year or two when membership defaults due to non payment or inactivity to allow a member to easily re-active their membership.
