RMBC Yacht Racing Rules Appendix A
Scoring System -2026
This is a revised version of the scoring sytem, this will be completed as the season progresses.
The following illustrates the simple scoring system that is used to rate sailors.
- The number of heats for a class of yacht and/or club trophy are approved at the AGM (usually held in January) for that particular year’s competition(s).
- The ARM or appointed result recorder for the race shall record the heat position place as a number. (First position is recorded as “1” and second position as “2” etc.,)
- In the event that two yachts cannot be distinguished crossing the line, they can be recorded as equal. If, say, for third place then each recorded as 3=, next being “5”.
- Only yachts completing a race are recorded as having a position.
- The results are notified to the club secretary.
- The webmaster maintains a list of results to date on the web site at
rugeleymodelclub.org.uk - Only yachts completing at least one race will appear in the day's results.
- scoring to be speciifed
- winning score to be specified
- action in the event of a tie to be specified.
- Prior to publication of results to RMBC, the Chairman and one other member shall
independently verify the results
