New canvases for our Clubhouse

18 April 2026Visitors to the clubhouse can now admire the result of a project initiated by Colin Walton. Colin commissioned a number of canvases which celebrate the activities of the radio sailors and their fellow scale modellers. This collection of dramatic photographs has been mounted on canvas and is now covering almost every available surface in the club house, thus achieving Colins other objective of making the the sound of the club house softer and more agreeable.
Kenneth is the organiser, selector and wall fixer for the picture canvasses. In the above image we see Kenneth and his mother Marion who also helped in the preparation and mounting of the boards.
Kenneth is also in charge of both bacon and sausage sandwiches on our Open Day Bank Holiday Monday 4th May, which will be an opportunity for visitors to enjoy the canvases.
