There will be no RMBC meeting on Monday 28th next week. The gap across the River Trent into Saddlesall Lake has silted up again after the usual 5 years. This makes sailing dinghies with centreboards between the lakes impossible, in the increasingly shallow conditions. The dredging contractors have arrived today with 3 articulated lorries carrying an enormous pontoon with a big excavator to go on top. While the light will fade quickly by 20.00, we still want to get the Df95 yachts back on the water for the Summer evenings, after the hour goes forward. It will be friendly and helpful sailing from next week. All are welcome and we will have the spare club Df95 No26 ready in the green cabin for eventualities and newcomers. The Rugeley Model Boat Club invites members, friends and family along with other members of Manor Park Sailing Club to join them, celebrating 40 years of sailing at Manor Park at 11.00 on Monday 5th May 2025.  Everyone can have a go at radio sailing a Df95 from the Clubhouse patio.
