Sailing Report Bank Holiday 25/05/2025

Very few braved the miserable weather to sail on this Bank Holiday Monday. Half dozen DF95s took to the water whilst our scale model colleagues were almost completely absent. Those present enjoyed the usual four races whilst huddled under the marquee. No record was made of the results . We are are hoping for a more pleasant day next week.

Sailing Report 19/05/2025

On this sunny day we were expecting a day of racing in the Victoria/DF65 competition. Again the calendar does not seem to have reached all members and only two Victorias and one DF65 turned up. The decision was made to cpancel the competition and the day became a non competition DF95 racing day. This was enjoyed with fair winds and up to 12 members racing ( including a Victoria and a DF65) The calendar has been updated to include an extra session for Victoria/DF65 racing. Please every one consult the calendar. /https://rmbc3958.live-website.com/club-calendar/

Sailing Report 21/04/2025

Arriving at the club house on a damp bank holiday Monday, I found only a lone 51 sailing from the pontoon. Having eaten my sandwiches and drunck my coffee alone under the marquee I returned home without putting my boat on the water. Of course later in the afternoon the sun was shining and conditions would have been perfect for a sail, but by then I was at home. Paul (29)

Monday 14/4/25 . A small turnout today. Half a dozen DF95 s and a Victoria braved the winds. One member took the opportunity to install his B rig sails and was able to enjoy the blustery condisitons with a more controlled sail. Down on the scale modelers bench a submarine was being prepared for action..

First Day of DF95 competition 08/04/2025.

Monday 8/4/25  marked the first day of the annual DF95 competition. Eight members competed and it may be there would have been more had everyone consulted the club calendar. However there will be many more races before the season ends so  all is not lost. The weather was dry and and sunny, the wind was good and we all enjoyed the racing. A yacht that wandered off into the trees by the fishermen’s end of the lake necessitated the launch of the rescue boat.
